In April, the supply side of China's polypropylene industry showed a significant contraction trend, with the overall operating rate of the industry falling sharply to 60.37%, a month on month decrease of 6.57 percentage points, and a year-on-year decrease of 15.37 percentage points, breaking the lowest level in nearly three years.

Under the disturbance of geopolitical situation, the international cost of polypropylene has risen sharply, the import arbitrage window continues to close, and coupled with restricted shipping, the import volume remains low. Under the resonance of multiple factors, the overall supply of polypropylene in China is expected to decrease to within 3 million tons in April, and the tightening of the supply side provides strong support for the high-level operation of the market.
