    Polyacrylonitrile fiber
    Date:2025-11-28 Clicks:8次

Zhengzhou Auron Industrial Co., Ltd. is a professional manufacturer of concrete fibers. Polyacrylonitrile fiber is one of our best-selling products.

Polyacrylonitrile fiber is a polymer fiber synthesized primarily from acrylonitrile. The application of polyacrylonitrile fiber in concrete mainly focuses on improving the material's crack resistance, impermeability, and durability.

    I. Applications of Polyacrylonitrile Fiber in Concrete

    1. Controlling Plastic Shrinkage Cracks in Concrete. In the early stages of hardening, concrete is prone to plastic shrinkage cracks due to factors such as moisture evaporation and temperature changes. Polyacrylonitrile fibers, evenly dispersed in the concrete, form a three-dimensional network structure, effectively inhibiting crack propagation and reducing surface crack formation.

    2. Improving the Impermeability of Concrete. The fibers form a barrier layer inside the concrete, reducing the penetration rate of water and other liquid media, thereby reducing the water absorption rate of the concrete and extending the service life of the structure.

    3. Enhancing the Impact and Fatigue Resistance of Concrete. The addition of fibers allows the concrete to disperse stress under dynamic loads through the bridging effect of the fibers, reducing localized damage and improving the durability of the material under repeated loading.

    4. Improved Concrete Durability. Polyacrylonitrile fibers possess good chemical stability, resisting common concrete defects such as alkali-aggregate reaction and chloride ion attack, helping to maintain structural integrity in harsh environments.

    5. Applications in Specialized Concrete Projects. For example, in tunnel linings, hydraulic facilities, and industrial flooring, where high material performance is required, polyacrylonitrile fibers can provide additional reinforcement to meet engineering needs.

    II. Characteristics of Polyacrylonitrile Fibers

    1. Physical Properties. Polyacrylonitrile fibers have high tensile strength and elastic modulus, effectively transferring stress in concrete. Their low density allows for easy and uniform dispersion in concrete, without significantly increasing material weight due to fiber addition.

    2. Chemical Stability. Polyacrylonitrile fibers exhibit good alkali resistance, adapting to the highly alkaline environment of concrete and resisting degradation over long-term use. They are resistant to most chemicals, making them suitable for various engineering environments.

    3. Dispersibility. The fibers distribute rapidly and evenly during concrete mixing, without clumping or affecting workability. This characteristic ensures consistent fiber performance in concrete.

    4. Durability. Polyacrylonitrile fibers exhibit stable performance under natural conditions such as ultraviolet radiation and humid heat, are not prone to aging, and can maintain their function for a long time.

    5. Construction adaptability. The addition of fibers has minimal impact on the concrete mix proportions, mixing, and pouring processes. No special equipment or complex operations are required during construction, facilitating practical application.
