    High-performance macro polypropylene fibres for industrial flooring

    Synthetic macro fibers are made primarily from polypropylene through melt spinning. Their diameter typically ranges from 0.5 mm to 1.2 mm, and the length can be adjusted according to project requirements, with common specifications ranging from 30 mm to 60 mm. Synthetic macro fibers exhibit high tensile strength, exceeding 500 MPa, and an elongation at break between 15% and 25%, demonstrating good toughness. Polypropylene itself is chemically resistant, has good resistance to acidic and alkaline environments, is non-conductive, and does not easily corrode in humid environments.


    The application of synthetic macro fibers in industrial flooring mainly focuses on enhancing concrete performance, improving crack resistance and waterproofing, and extending service life.

    Enhancing Concrete Performance: Coarse synthetic fibers, through uniform distribution within concrete, significantly improve tensile strength and crack resistance. For example, 50mm thick PP crack-resistant polypropylene coarse fibers can inhibit plastic shrinkage cracks in self-leveling cement mortar, improving freeze-thaw resistance, fatigue resistance, and impact resistance.


    Crack Resistance and Waterproofing Effects

    In projects such as subway station tunnels and mountain tunnels, coarse synthetic fibers can reduce the rebound of shotcrete, forming a thicker protective layer and enhancing flexural strength.
